So in an effort to be more present on my page I’m going to try and do more weekly updates on my site (a pose to my Facebook page;)

Here are some pics from my studio in Red Deer Alberta.

Your work is beyond inspirational… it is aspirational. I can’t wait to see more.

I’m a clay rookie, so I really enjoy these studio shots, I learn alot.

What type of clay are you using? some seem lighter and this almost looks like the oil based type. Forgive me if these are really stupid questions.

    Hey Melissa

I use a Low Fire white clay body. It’s also know as a white Terracotta. The high amount of Ball clay gives it that colour.
    Hope this helps :D

  4. Thank you very much! I regularly check out your blog, as I really get alot out of the pictures of your working process. I’m coming to clay from a primarily 2-D visual arts background, and my ‘ideas’ slash drawings are way ahead of my skills. I WANT to make to many of the kind of curvacious, tubular, smooth shapes you do. My efforts so far are failing miserably. My mentors advise me to scale back my ambitions and get comfortable with simple processes.
